Coloring Contest

1st place winner Nayeli Ruiz, 4th grader at Yarbro Elementary School, Lovington, NM.

Each year, Lea County Electric Cooperative invites all 2nd, 3rd and 4th-grade classes in our service area to participate in the Safety Coloring Contest. Students color safety posters provided by the Cooperative and create their own individualized safety message on the poster.  Posters are judged for creativity, neatness and the overall safety message. The contest assists teachers as they talk to their students about electrical safety.

Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place winners are awarded for each school at their end-of-year awards assemblies. Additionally, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place overall winners are announced. The overall winners are recognized at our Annual Meeting in April. Cash prizes are awarded.

For more information regarding the annual contest, call any of our Customer Service Representatives at 575-396-3631.
